Candy corns are a sure sign that fall is here! Take a look below at how we turned a handful of candy corns into a sweet and fun (not to mention frugal) votive holder, perfect for decorating your space. This candy corn votive holder is simple and inexpensive to make, making it a great gift or frugal way to get into the spirit of the season. Here is how you can get started crafting your own.
Candy Corn Votive Holder
Here is what you will need:
1 package of candy corns (Dollar Tree)
Jelly or canning jar
Fall themed ribbon
Votive (battery operated or real)
We found everything we needed at our local dollar store. You will notice several varieties of candy corn mixes in various colors. Choose the one that appeals to you the most!
1. Begin by filling your jar up with candy corns. You want to fill it so that it is just shy of full. Leave about ½ an inch at the top.
2. Next the votive into the candy corns. You don’t want to bury it, just be sure it is snug and in place firmly.
3. Wrap a length of ribbon around the top of the vase. Add a dab or two of glue to keep it secure. Tie it into a bow and cut off any remaining ribbon.
Your votive is now ready to be lit and glow! You will notice how nice it reflects the colors of the candy, and how the light reflects off the glass jar. It will really glow, warming up your space and getting you into the spirit of the fall season.
Gather your supplies and give this candy corn votive craft a try. It makes a great gift, weekend craft, or inexpensive decorative piece. Give it a try!
