OMgosh!!! I came across this on Pinterest and decided to try it. (I can't remember who had the recipe, so if it's you please let me know and I'll give you credit 🙂 )
Now I have a 2 year old who is a very picky eater, for some reason, but he absolutely loves these.
These are a great little snack when it's hot outside and no one wants to eat lunch. It's still a little something without a huge meal sitting on the kids' stomach.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Chocolate Chips
- Peanut Butter
- Wax Paper
- Cookie Sheet
- 2 Regular Teaspoons
Step 1: Cut your bananas into slices( Make sure they are thicker so they are easier to handle)
Step 2: Place the slices on the cookie sheet that is lined with wax paper and place in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes.(They need to be frozen or they will be hard to handle and put the peanut butter on)
Step 3: Take one teaspoon and scoop some peanut butter out; now take your 2nd teaspoon and push the peanut butter onto the 1/2 of the banana slices.( You need the other half to put on top)
Step 4: Place 3 chocolate chips on each banana and peanut butter slice.
Step 5: Take the other 1/2 of the slices and place on top; slightly pressing to form a sandwich.
Step 6: Place back in the freezer for an additional 30 minutes. When frozen you can remove the biters from the wax paper and put into a freezer Ziploc bag.
Did you try something different with frozen banana slices? Let me know in a comment below. I'm always up for new things!!
