I've really gotten into Fairy Gardens lately. No clue why other than I think they are cute as all get out. One thing I do know is getting items for one can be expensive. So, I figure the more items we can DIY the more money we can have for other items for it. I just love how this DIY Fairy Garden Umbrella turned out.
DIY Fairy Garden Umbrella
Hot glue, glue gun
As mentioned above, we were able to find everything we needed for this project at our local dollar store. There is wide selection of both paper straws and silk flowers.
1. Begin by snipping the straw in half. You want it to be short and size appropriate for the garden.
2. Remove the silk flower from the stem. Just pull it off or snip it. You will only need the bloom for this portion of the craft.
3. Add some hot glue to the end of the straw. Press it into the center of the flower. Allow it to dry.
4. The fairy garden umbrella is now ready for your fairy garden! Press it into the soil to offer some shade to your fairies!
