The last year has found me on a mission to replace many of the cleaning, cooking, and beauty products around our home with DIY versions in an effort to cut out needless chemicals. This DIY produce wash is one of the changes I have made and wash all my produce in it, organic or not.
Flipping over the package to read the ingredients can be well…downright scary. One thing I have done to make our home healthier is to purchase all my produce from the “Dirty Dozen List” organically, but even still I like to wash it all off when I get home-sometimes little bugs are hiding in the leaves. You can buy a commerical produce wash OR you can make your own with just 4 ingredients and it is pretty cost effective too. This produce wash will clean, remove wax, kill bacteria, and make your produce last longer too. After the initial purchase of a glass bottle of vinegar you can purchase it by the gallon it is a better value that way.
