I've colored my hair for years so if I have any grey hair I don't know it (I like it that way). I've always gone with a red shade and decided last month I wanted to go a little more dramatic so I was torn between Burgundy and a dark Purple. I ended up letting Mini choose and she chose Purple. Well let's just we chose wrong. The purple ended up being really dark and at first I hated it but then I started liking the contrast of the dark hair next to my skin. After a few washes it started to lighten and I longed for my red back.
It's really hard to take pictures and get a sense of the true color when it's not dramatic. I became an affiliate for Madison Reed and was allowed to pick out a color of my choice. I was hoping they had a few dramatic colors as I am still looking for a little drama.
This is the color that I chose based on their color selector. It was super easy to chose, as they walk your through with a few questions. It's called Trieste Red and I thought if nothing else it would get me headed back in the red direction.
I took this after picture outside so you could see the red better. I love how it turned out. It did take me back to the red direction and it left my hair soft and super shiny. I took a picture of the kit I received but deleted it thinking I had it already in place but below is everything you receive in the kit.
