Got a Minecraft fan in your house? I know I sure do! If you do as well chances are they love those little Minecraft Mini blind boxes from the store and you have extras laying around. We had doubles from at least four so I thought we could do something fun with them to carry my son's obsession into a whole new place. This DIY Minecraft Necklace will make great party favors for a Minecraft party, you could even let older kids make their own, or use them as a gift- as a matter of fact my son and I made this for his friend for her birthday (yes it's a girl, please don't get me started-he swears he is in love…mom can't take it). If you think this is a project you and your little one will love, lets get started!
DIY Minecraft Necklace
You will need:
needle nose pliers
straight edge blade with a small tip
You can get everything you need at Hobby Lobby, jewelery items go on sale often and that will help keep the cost down on this project but if you want to go ahead and order I have listed the links to them on Amazon above.
Poke a very small hole in the top of your Minecraft figure using your blade-this is just to get your screw hole started.
Use your needle nose pliers to pry open your eye hook just a little then hold it firmly with the pliers. Twist the screw part into the top of your figure until completely screwed in.
Slide your opened hook eye over the ball chain then use needle nose pliers to pinch it closed.
Your necklace is ready to wear! You can use the same steps to create a necklace from pretty much any rubbery mini figure. My daughter is begging for a Shopkins one for herself!
