Are you looking for natural ways to relieve motion sickness? It’s never any fun to hop in a car and then all the sudden, you start feeling motion sickness. After all the medicine you’ve probably taken over the years, there has to be a few natural ways to relieve motion sickness.
Natural Ways to Relieve Motion Sickness
Pretreat with Ginger
If you haven’t heard of the power of ginger and motion sickness, then it’s time that you hear about it. Ginger is a great way to pre-treat motion sickness. You may hear of a lot of pregnant women using ginger ale or taking ginger to help with nausea, it works the same way when it comes to motion sickness.
Don’t sit in the back seat
Another natural way you can relieve motion sickness is to not sit in the back seat. Sitting in the back can actually make your motion sickness worse. Also, try not to eat or drink a lot before you get into a moving vehicle, this can help you keep motion sickness away before it starts.
Meditate and Breath Deep
Another natural way in which you can relieve motion sickness is by meditating and breathing deep. It’s truly amazing how well our brains can do when we stop and try to not focus on the situation. Of course, this tip won’t work for everyone, but it’s a good start to help someone who doesn’t have any other options.
Have any of you heard of the pressure points? First of all, your body has a ton of pressure points that can help in many situations. There are even pressure points for motion sickness. Study the pressure points of the body and know where yours are! This can help relieve motion sickness, especially if it’s already started.
We were sent a Reliefband to try as one of our Natural Ways to Relieve Motion Sickness
(we were sent a Reliefband in order to try it out)Reliefband takes the idea of pressure point therapy and amps it up. This is such an amazing drug free way to feel better, while you travel. I was skeptical that a band can help you with motion sickness, but it really does. The Reliefband helps with nausea from motion sickness, vertigo, and more. You can find out how to use Reliefband right here.
Our thoughts on using Reliefband
Mini’s motion sickness stops a lot of our travel. Even trips to fun places end up not being fun because of how badly she feels just getting there. We have used the band twice so far. Both trips included destinations were 15-20 miles away.
Y’all we were genuinely surprised at how well it worked. She still felt a little queasy but it was NOTHING like she normally has. I’m so happy that we now have this for her to use. We are looking forward to trying a longer distance to see how well it works for a longer trip. I’ll add an update on our Facebook page when we do.
