Maybe it is just me but one of my favorite things to do is to dig through Mini's candy stash and
steal take my cut from it, especially a Peep or two, Do you do that too? Oh good..I knew I wasn’t alone in my not so secret shame. There is something about that mushy sugar-coated mess that takes me back to my own pink straw Baskets. We have made a point to include as many sensory activities as we can in our homeschool for every theme we cover. Spring and Easter are no different. This super fun and edible Peeps Playdough recipe will be a hit in your home too even if you don’t love the real thing. You only need a few ingredients and 10 minutes to make your own. It's great activity for the kids to do while you cook dinner or take 15 minutes to yourself (seriously you can sneak in a whole uninterrupted bathroom break with this stuff).

Remove from heat and quickly stir in cornstarch.
Once it cools a bit to the touch you are gonna want to get in there with your hands and knead it well to create a smooth dough.
I poured mine out onto a silpat mat and allow it to cool a bit.
Your dough is going to seem too loose, you will be tempted to add more cornstarch-DON’T, at least not until it cools. My first couple attempts I was sure it was too runny and kept adding then once it cooled it was a hardened blob that was no fun at all.
Give your little ones a mini roller, cookie cutters, google eyes, and other little tools to make it even more fun. Make peeps with your edible peep play dough!
While it is edible mom, I would not recommend you eat the whole batch!
Store in fridge in an airtight container, the heat from your hands will soften it a bit again, I would not keep more than one or two days.
